In an intense showdown at IEM Melbourne 2025, Vitality and Team Falcons went head-to-head in the grand final clash. The series spanned five thrilling matches, with Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut and his squad emerging victoriously after battling it out on Inferno, Dust 2, Train, Mirage, and Nuke.

Showing exceptional prowess throughout the tournament, ZywOo was honored with the MVP title. The French AWPer showcased outstanding skill, boasting a remarkable 1.39 HLTV rating. In the grand final, he stood out as the standout performer on the server, leading Vitality to success.

This victory marks Vitality's fourth consecutive trophy win, solidifying their dominance in the esports scene. With the ESL Grand Slam Season 5 title secured, the team also sealed a million-dollar prize. Notably, Robin 'ropz' Kool clinched his second season victory, joining an elite group of players who have achieved this feat.

Vitality's impressive win streak now stands at 21 matches, bringing them close to Team Liquid's record set in 2019. Prior to this achievement, they surpassed Astralis's 19-match record from the same year, showcasing their undeniable skill and determination.

The IEM Melbourne 2025 tournament took place from April 21 to 27 in Australia, where 16 top teams competed for a prize pool of $300k. Despite challenges such as Team Spirit and Eternal Fire's withdrawal from the event, the competition remained fierce. Notably, the event underwent a name change from IEM Grand Slam to ESL Grand Slam during the season following Intel's partnership conclusion with the tournament organizers.
