This upcoming Major championship marks the eighth consecutive appearance for Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Dan "apEX" Madesclaire. The dynamic French duo has maintained an unbroken attendance streak since the addition of the French superstar in late 2018. Among their notable accomplishments is the victory at the prestigious BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which also saw Vitality making their way to the grand final.
With this Major, ApEX is set to participate in his 19th major, matching up with the likes of Dupreeh. However, the future participation of Dupreeh isn't certain, as Falcons have been facing challenges, struggling even against lower-tier teams. The addition of s1mple to the roster hasn't brought the desired results, with the team managing to win only a single map so far, against the underdog team Dynamo Eclot during this RMR.
Scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 15 in China, the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will see the world's top teams competing for a piece of the $1.25 million prize pool plus additional sticker incentives. There are speculations about potential roster changes for Vitality post-event, with rumors circulating that Spinx might depart from the squad following unresolved disagreements that have been brewing since the summer of 2024.
