Team Spirit's rifler, Danil 'donk' Kryshkovets, has achieved remarkable success by clinching multiple honors at the HLTV Awards 2024. Standing out as a dominant force, Kryshkovets secured victories in four different categories during his first season in tier-1 competition. Notably, he claimed the coveted top spot in the HLTV Top 20 rankings, in addition to earning prestigious titles such as Rookie of the Year and Opener of the Year. Furthermore, his incredible 1v5 clutch performance against Heroic at the Shanghai Major 2024 was hailed as the highlight of the year, showcasing his exceptional skills under pressure.
Prior to Kryshkovets' record-breaking feat, the accolades were held by Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut from Vitality. In the previous year, ZywOo secured victory in three categories, including AWPer of the Year, Highlight of the Year, and Player of the Year. Although unable to repeat his success in 2024, ZywOo still managed to claim the third spot in the HLTV rankings, with Ilya 'm0NESY' Osipov taking the second position.
The prestigious HLTV Awards 2024 ceremony took place on January 11 in Belgrade, featuring a lineup of renowned guests, among whom was Minh 'GooseMan' Le, one of the original developers of Counter-Strike, who received a heartfelt standing ovation from the audience. Notably, the event also unveiled an exciting new addition - the Hall of Fame of CS, honoring four legendary Swedish players from the 1.6 era.
