Professional player Danil 'donk' Kryshkovets from Team Spirit recently shared his discontent regarding the CS2 map Anubis during a vlog at IEM Katowice 2025. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the map's limited potential on the Counter-Terrorist side, suggesting that it should not be part of the competitive rotation. Kryshkovets, known for his rifling prowess, highlighted his concerns about Anubis, labeling it as one of his least preferred LAN maps.
Despite his reservations about Anubis, 'donk' has showcased exceptional performance on other maps. Notably, he has excelled on Dust 2, boasting an impressive HLTV rating of 1.52 after participating in 27 matches on the iconic map. In comparison, his ratings on Anubis and Vertigo stand at 1.30 and 1.29, respectively. Fans eagerly anticipate his gameplay on classic maps like Inferno, even though it remains the team's permaban.
The year 2025 proved challenging for Team Spirit on Anubis, as they suffered defeats against formidable opponents. In the BLAST Bounty Spring, they narrowly lost to Eternal Fire with a score of 14:16 in the grand final. Similarly, at IEM Katowice 2025, Team Spirit faced a setback against GamerLegion on Anubis, resulting in a score of 11:13.
