Team Spirit has made the unexpected decision to withdraw from the upcoming IEM Melbourne 2025 event in Australia. In a surprising turn of events, Complexity has stepped in to take their place as the next best team to accept the invitation, as confirmed by ESL on their official website.

While the exact reasons for Team Spirit's sudden withdrawal remain undisclosed, speculations have arisen within the esports community. Notably, insider OverDrive hinted at significant developments on the horizon, teasing potential news regarding the organization.

ESL's official announcement stated that Team Spirit communicated their decision to withdraw from the tournament to the Tournament Organizer on April 4th. As per Valve's guidelines, the next highest-ranked team was extended the invitation after multiple teams, including G2 and FURIA, declined due to various reasons, such as visa issues. Complexity emerged as the team ready and willing to fill the vacant spot at IEM Melbourne.

The prestigious IEM Melbourne event is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 27, featuring a lineup of 16 top-tier teams. ESL confirmed that most teams have sorted out their visa requirements, with only one player's status pending. Team Spirit isn't the only team to undergo roster changes, as Aurora Gaming (formerly Eternal Fire) has also been replaced by SAW for the upcoming tournament.
