During a recent match at FISSURE Special, Peruvian stand-in David "Parker" Nicho Flores caused quite a stir when he fell asleep during the draft phase against OG. Parker was standing in for Mosquito Clan in this small online event with a $70k prize pool and seven invited teams.
Despite the technical loss that resulted from this unforeseen incident, the team's representative Khaled "sQreen" El-Khabbash humbly asked the fans not to place blame on the sleeping player.
Prior to this controversial match, Parker had already played a bo3 series for Mosquito Clan where they suffered a defeat against 1win with a score of 0:2 earlier on the same day. The game against OG was even more short-lived, lasting less than a minute of in-game time. The match had to be paused, and unfortunately, Mosquito Clan had to forfeit the game. Their request to bring in another stand-in, RAMZES, was denied as Parker was already serving as a substitute. Consequently, they were handed a default loss in the second game as well.
Currently, in the round-robin group stage, OG holds a 2-2 match record, while Mosquito Clan, with Parker in all their matches, sits at 1-3. The upcoming challenge for Mosquito Clan will be against L1ga Team tomorrow, April 8, at 16:00 CET.
