League of Legends To Add New Mission in Memory of Shushei

Riot Games is reportedly in the works of introducing a new mission in League of Legends to pay tribute to the late Maciej 'Shushei' Ratuszniak, a former Fnatic player who lost his battle with cancer on April 28, 2025. The news was disclosed by PBE dataminer FrankTheBoxMonster through a Reddit post.

Further validating this development, League of Leaks X account shared additional insights and even unveiled a preview of the commemorative reward. It is anticipated that the mission will be accessible at no cost starting May 14 in conjunction with the rollout of patch 25.10.

Shushei etched his name in esports history by securing victory in the inaugural World Championship back in 2011. In a thrilling finale, Fnatic emerged triumphant against All authority. His legacy was further immortalized when his signature Fnatic Gragas skin was included in the first championship skin set in 2014. Following a brief yet illustrious career, the skilled midlaner bid farewell to professional gaming in 2013, leaving behind a legacy of achievements. Tragically, Shushei passed away at the age of 36, leaving behind a lasting impact on the League of Legends community.
