League of Legends Pays Tribute to First Worlds Champion with Special Event

Recently, Riot Games announced a heartwarming tribute within League of Legends to honor the memory of the late first Worlds champion, Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak. In a touching gesture, a new in-game title "Shushei Forever" and a free Fnatic Gragas skin have been introduced as a homage to the legendary player.

The special Fnatic Gragas skin, dedicated to Shushei, is now available for all players without any cost. This gracious offer will be accessible from May 5 to June 2, providing ample time for the community to participate in paying respects.

To unlock the commemorative cosmetics, players are required to play three games as Gragas, after which the rewards will be automatically granted. However, for those encountering difficulty in locating the skin, a simple visit to the Loot section where Hextech Chests are stored should resolve the issue.

Unlike the skin, obtaining the exclusive "Shushei Forever" title does not necessitate any gameplay. Should players encounter any hurdles in adding this honorary title to their profile, a red cross-marked button can be found for assistance, as exemplified in the accompanying screenshot.

Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak, a pivotal figure in the League of Legends community, retired from professional play in 2013. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 36, leaving behind a legacy of greatness. Notably, Shushei rose to fame as part of Fnatic, emerging victorious as one of the first Worlds champions in 2021. In a memorable final match against Against All authority, Fnatic claimed victory with a score of 2:1, cementing their place in history. It was with Gragas, Shushei's cherished champion, that he secured his place in the elite circle of first champions to receive a special commemorative skin in the game.
