Inside Look: Astralis Organization's Current State and Future Prospects

Valery 'L3rich' Kharitonov, the founder of Aurora Gaming, recently confirmed speculations surrounding Astralis' potential sale of their organization. Through alleged screenshots shared on his Telegram channel, he highlighted that the organization's assets may not be as attractive as anticipated.

The controversy escalated with the dismissal of their Sports director, Kasper Straube, following Astralis' failure to secure a spot in the BLAST Austin Major 2025 tournament in mid-April. The disclosed roster documents also shed light on Casper 'cadiaN' Moller's benching during the same period, emphasizing a distinctive separation between Astralis' management segment and the CS2 team.

The leaked screenshots disclosed the organization's average annual revenue of €6 million, showcasing a notable decline in 2024 followed by an anticipated resurgence in 2025, strategically tied to their Major attendance objectives. Additionally, Astralis claimed consistent profitability throughout their operations.

Initial reports on Astralis' internal shifts were brought to light by Aleksey 'OverDrive' Biryukov. According to insider information, the CS2 roster might transition to a new ownership before the upcoming PGL Astana 2025 tournament, potentially competing under a different banner. The speculations were further substantiated by HLTV.org and Dust.dk, echoing the discussions on Astralis' potential sale, estimated at $2-$3 million by the Danish sources, albeit the division or organizational value remains unclear.
