During an interview after the recent BLAST Open Spring 2025 match, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov of G2 Esports disclosed that his teammate, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovac, displayed an exceptional performance despite battling illness. HuNter- played a pivotal role in their match against Imperial, achieving an impressive score of 36-10 across 21 rounds. He maintained an average damage per round of 163 and received a remarkable 2.67 rating from HLTV. This remarkable display surpassed his previous best performance recorded back in a 2016 match between Bosnia & Herzegovina and Armenia, where he attained a rating of 2.58.
The victory for G2 Esports did not come easily, especially considering the underdog status of Imperial. Looking ahead, G2 Esports is set to face off against Eternal Fire in the upcoming group stage match scheduled for March 22 at 16:00 CET.
BLAST Open Spring 2025 is currently underway in Lisbon, hosting the LAN event from March 19 to 30. Sixteen teams are competing for a portion of the $400k prize pool, making each match highly intense and captivating for fans and spectators alike.
