Former professional Dota 2 player, Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen, has recently fulfilled his mandatory military service in Finland, as revealed by his spouse, Mawar Remy Taavitsainen, through social media.
At 26 years of age, Topson joined the ranks of Finnish citizens required to partake in military service. Depending on the conscription category assigned, the duration can span from six months to a complete year within the armed forces. Notably, Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen underwent a similar experience in 2023, expressing his dissatisfaction with the service.
Having taken a break from professional gaming in September 2024, Topson had been a vital component of Tundra Esports, contributing to their commendable performances in prior seasons. Despite facing challenges in roster stability, Tundra managed to secure notable placements such as 3rd and 4th positions at Riyadh Masters and The International, even amidst utilizing stand-in players like Saksa during key tournaments.
