Collapse Returns to Dota 2 Matchmaking After Break

Recently, Team Spirit's offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov made a comeback to Dota 2 matchmaking after a hiatus lasting over 100 days. Since December 30, 2024, he has engaged in 24 matches, boasting an impressive average win rate of 62.5%, as reported by Dota2ProTracker.

During his return, Collapse demonstrated a preference for the hero Magnus, securing victories in five out of nine public matches. Additionally, he showcased his versatility by playing other heroes like Doom, Earthshaker, Mars, among others.

The decision to take a break followed Team Spirit's participation in The International 2024, where Abdimalik "Malik" Sailau temporarily replaced Collapse. However, after Sailau's departure from the roster on December 19, the experienced player reclaimed his position. Surprisingly, Collapse refrained from competing until the final days of December.

Looking ahead, Team Spirit is gearing up for the DreamLeague Season 25 qualifiers, scheduled to take place online for the Eastern European segment from January 3 to 9. The stakes are high, with two coveted spots in the main event up for grabs. Speculations arise about the team's strategic shifts, with rising talent Allan "satanic" Gallyamov potentially transitioning to the mid role to accommodate Yatoro's anticipated return.
